le 20 janvier

FSF 2D - Today we completed an activity to create and share how we can meet criteria for our written exam. Our work is posted on elearning.
Remember that your reading exam is next Tuesday and your written exam is next Wednesday. You can bring your yellow (or white) organizer and I am always available to proofread leading up to the exam!

FSF 1D - Students completed their orange graphic organizers, analysed an exemplar of a written exam and are prepared to take that information and write it out in paragraph format on Tuesday (Wednesday we write the good copy).  The exemplar as well as an old exam outline is available on elearning.  I am available to review graphic organizers and rough copies anytime.
Reading exam is in class on Monday.

le 17 janvier - exams are under way!

All students have begun their speaking exams,  their preparation for written exams (they have prep charts to be aware of the criteria they need to meet to be successful on the written exam), and know their dates of their reading exams and listening exams.  They are expected be using time in class (while other speaking exams are occurring ) to complete these charts in order to be successful on the written exam. These prep charts can be reviewed and feedback can be given if students hand in their work. Please come and see me at lunch if you have any questions, students! Remember, elearning has lots of useful info (and info about exams!)

FSF 1D - Students completed their voyage presentations, and we asked questions (and answered all en français) about our future plans using le futur simple. The morning class began their final reading task today and it will be completed on Monday.

le 10 janvier

STUDENTS NOW KNOW ALL OF THEIR EXAM DATES!!!
(practice dates for grade 9 writing is the 24th)

FSF 2D - Aujourd'hui, students were walked through each exam. We read and matched good exemplars of answers for our speaking exam and wrote our own for three following the exemplars. We played tow the line to practice saying them and to receive and give peer feedback. Well done! Bravo! We also practiced talking about the weather and what we would wear if it were cold out and snowing, comme aujourd'hui!

FSF 1D - Today, we read aloud and matched ( in groups ) example answers for 5 speaking exam questions. We discussed how exams will happen and when, shared useful strategies and DO NOTS when it comes to good study habits, and started predicting the futures of students we know through a reading and listening activity.
PRESENTATIONS WILL BEGIN TOMORROW!

Students were strongly encouraged to continue preparing for their speaking exams at home tonight.  Mme is more than happy to read the answers and provide feedback!

Bonjour! Bon retour! Les examens viennent ... exams are coming!

- SPEAKING EXAMS FOR ALL CLASSES BEGIN NEXT WEEK -

FSF 2D -

Today, students warmed up with some questions/responses activities about their holiday and their plans for 2017. They are becoming more familiar talking to other classmates and asking one another questions which will be great for their listening / speaking task that will take place on Friday.
We completed a vrai / faux activity on le météo and students were reminded about their exams, and had time to review and prepare their answers. All of the questions have been on elearning since before the break.

FSF 1D - Today, the students had their last lab day to organize, receive feedback on and rehearse for their cultural presentation. These presentations will begin on Wednesday. Students were also reminded about their speaking exams and should have a blue sheet (given before the break) to prepare.
